I AM

"I am." is the shortest complete sentence in the English
language.

I am - What?

The shortest sentence in the English language is both a
statement and a question.

The shortest sentence in the English language is one of, if not
THE most important question that you will ever answer.

God told Moses His name is "I am." God knew who he was.

We usually become that which we envision ourselves to be.

It's a short question with a long answer.

It's a short statement with a life long impact.

I am

Yes, you are.

What?

That's up to you.

p.s. Some say that single words such as "So?" or "Go!" are sentences.
That can be validly argued but as for sentences with a subject and
verb, "I am." has the distinction of being the shortest sentence.

I am.
So?
Go!

High Cost

The high cost of living ain't nothing like the cost of living high.
~from the song, "High Cost of Living" by Jamey Johnson

Be Kind

I tell you to be kind to all you meet,
because everyone is fighting some kind of battle.
How many countless hours have I spent cleaning? I used to spend atleast 8 to 12 hours every weekend making sure things were just perfect, "in case someone came over." Then one day I realized that no one came over; they were all out living life, having fun!

Now, when people visit, I find no need to explain the"condition" of my home; they are more interested in hearing about the things I've been doing while I was away living life and enjoying it!

If you haven't figured this out yet, please heed this advice: Life is short - enjoy it while you can! And people don't care if your house is spotless just as long as they're welcome.

Dust if you must but wouldn't it be better,

To paint a picture or write a letter,

Bake a cake or plant a seed,

Ponder the difference between want and need?

Dust if you must but there's not much time,

With rivers to swim and mountains to climb,

Music to hear and books to read,

Friends to cherish and life to lead.

Dust if you must but the world's out there

With the sun in your eyes, the wind in your hair,

A flutter of snow, a shower of rain,

This day will not come around again.

Dust if you must but bear in mind,

Old age will come and it's not kind.

And when you go and go you must,

You, yourself, will make more dust.

Remember, a house becomes a home when you can write "I love you" on the furniture!

All I Need is a Miracle

A woman was walking along the beach when she stumbled upon a genie's lamp. She picked it up and rubbed it. Lo-and-behold a genie appeared. The amazed woman asked if she got three wishes.

The Genie said, "Nope. Due to inflation, constant downsizing, low wages in third-world countries and fierce global competition, I can only grant you one wish. So, what'll it be?"

The woman didn't hesitate. She said, "I want peace in the Middle East. See this map? I want these countries to stop fighting with each other."

The Genie looked at the map and exclaimed, "Gadzooks, lady! These countries have been at war for thousands of years. I'm good, but not THAT good! I don't think it can be done. Make another wish."

The woman thought for a minute. She said, "Well, I've been trying to find the right husband. You know, one that's considerate and fun, likes to cook and helps with the housecleaning, has a great sense of humor and gets along with my family, doesn't watch sports all the time, rich, super handsome, a great lover and is completely faithful and won't even think about another woman. That's what I wish for. A good mate."

The Genie let out a long sigh and said,
"Let me see that map again."
